Art Young Big Game Patches
For NFAA members. The purpose of the Art Young awards is to promote interest in hunting with the bow and arrow, to encourage good sportsmanship and to give recognition by the organized field archers to their members who obtain game with the bow.
Full Color patches are 4" round, Black & White patches are 2" round.

ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility for the Art Young Award is limited to members of the NFAA at the time taken. There shall be no geographical restrictions, either as to the residence of the claimant, or to the location in which the game is secured.
AWARDS: Art Young Big Game Pin and a NFAA Big Game Patch shall be given for the first example of each species taken with the bow & arrow according to NFAA rules.
NFAA FAIR CHASE RULES: Any animal taken under any of the following circumstances should not be considered for an NFAA Art Young Big Game Award:
“Yarded” in deep snow; helpless in water; helpless on ice; helpless in trap, while confined behind fences, as on a game farm, etc., in defiance with game laws or out of season;
“Jack Lighting” or shining at night; from power vehicle or power boat; any other method considered by the NFAA Bowhunting Committee as unsportsmanlike.
SUB-SPECIE: Allow sub-specie of deer including Whitetail, Mule, Blacktail, Sitka, Coues, and Fallow as different big game animals.
